this past week i was out of the studio and camping on a river with a group of friends! i think we were a dozen adults, 7 kids and 7 dogs. fun times!

lucy used to love camping and swimming before she became blind – and she still does! the other campers were amazed at her bravery as my girl carefully dogpaddled her way around the river and vigilantly scoped out low-laying food in the campground.

although we returned a few days ago, she’s still sleeping and recovering. i’m learning that lucy requires frequent party-like conditions to keep her spirits up and her mind off her health problems!

this saturday lucy and i will manning my booth on alberta street between 14th place and 15th street for the alberta street fair! 11 am – 9 pm! come say hello!

back from bellingham! the heatwave kinda ruined my extensive exploring plans, and slowed down my progress on the paperdoll project – but it got done! what a fun fun project to graffiti all over the store!

last week the blog was quiet as i traveled to the east coast for my friends’ wedding celebration. the fact that i was on the east coast in august [heat + humidity] is testament to how good these friends are!

i was back in portland for just a day – enough time to do laundry, pack orders, pick up the dog – before heading up the west coast to bellingham, washington to work on a new mural for the paperdoll boutique which re-opens this saturday!

the similarities between these two towns is striking [college town on the water], as are the differences [humidity vs. no humidity]! i’ll post bellingham pics here once i’m done with the project at hand!

now that i finally had a weekend off i had time to sleep and catch up with things, including all the photos from my recent elemental group show!
